Onsite Furniture repair

Furniture restoration doesn't half to be a stinky  process!

Every week we are asked to repair or restore furniture in an office setting.  While it is convenient for offices to have repair work done onsite, sometimes there are other concerns.... like not stinking up the office with lacquer and finishing fumes.

A few weeks ago, a local law firm had us come take a look at a table with a laminate top framed by mahogany trim. Over the years, the finish had began to show signs of wear and several compression marks needed to be repaired. The actual process of repairing the compression marks began back coloring the damaged wood. This was done by using a natural tone stain that complimented the original finish. We also used a natural tone mahogany burn in stick filler and smoothed the surface with a hot knife. The tough part was blending the finish to match.  After that process was complete,  I used an odor free water based finish as a durable topcoat and the end result was amazing!  To quote our customer, "Wow, I cant believe you could repair our conference room table onsite! It looks great!"  #noodor #goodasnew #onsiterepair
